Job Description
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage a team of software developers and engineers to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery, while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Oversee project planning and execution, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Implement Agile methodologies effectively within the team to enhance productivity, facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques; prepare and deliver regular project updates and status reports to stakeholders and management.
- Actively engage in conflict resolution and team dynamics, addressing issues proactively to maintain team morale and cohesion.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team, promoting transparency and ensuring that all team members are aligned with project goals and expectations.
- Mentor and provide guidance to team members to support their professional development and career growth, conducting regular one-on-one meetings to provide feedback and discuss performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure project alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout project life cycles, ensuring that contingency plans are in place to handle potential issues.
- Continuously evaluate and improve team processes and workflows, recommending and implementing best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role or as a team lead.
- Proven experience in project management, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills, with a track record of managing team dynamics and fostering a positive team culture.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to various audiences.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana) and software development tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD technologies).
- A solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control and quality assurance processes.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Master’s degree in a relevant field or an MBA with a focus on IT management.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner) is highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud technologies and microservices architecture would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools to improve collaboration between development and operations teams.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced IT environment, especially within startups or software development firms.
- Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and an ability to integrate them into project planning and execution.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry, with a passion for continuous learning and innovation.
